We would like to challenge to try to eat on Filipino Restaurant/coffee shops like Mary Grace instead of Stsrbucks because coffee and Filipino/spanish bread are way better and gradually infuse yourself to local cuisine (just find some great food influencers so you won't be fool or crave-bait. Filipinos atleast in upper middle class are aware Fastfoods are not healty.

I also love the Philippines! Two questions: Am an IHG member but will buying points allow me to increase my membership status? I charged it on AMEX gold, will AMEX give me points for it?

Yes!! The Philippines is Great. Been telling people this for years. Of course there's areas that's Third World (like Detroit), but also parts that's more exclusive than Bel Air/ Beverly Hills. Planning to move there.

Hi Rob and Allie! Great video! I have a question this has nothing to do with your video but when you do your VPN when you come back to the states do you still use your VPN or do you disconnect it ? I did get surfshark and I'm just testing it out I Did It For My streaming and when I went back to Netflix I Got a notification on the screen saying that we see that you're using a VPN please disconnect it that made me a little nervous, can you elaborate a little bit on that ? I'm not following the housing costs. If you used 92,000 IHG points and you bought those points with cash at the end of the year for the double points, shouldn't they be counted somewhere as a cost? I think you said you got 800k points for $4k, so shouldn't there be a cost this month of $460 ($4k / 800k * 92k)?

If you leave the cities and venture out into the Provinces, you will hear one or more of the Native Tongues but conversations between you and the Locals will be in English. You will find that the people of the Philippines are among the most friendly people you will ever meet. I would go so far as to say that even when a Philippine person is sad, they remain happy & cheerful.

Welcome to the Philippines! You really need to venture out of Metro Manila to experience a more authentic local atmosphere.

Do you find you incur much currency exchange loss because you have to buy some local currency in countries that you then have to exchange back when you leave? We try to use cards as much as possible of course but still need cash for some things.

Were you able to do the bag shipping because both locations were at the same brand hotels?

One caveat, the underlying success of any venture is transferable talent and skills. Not everyone is photogenic, good with verbal or wriiten commununication, knowledgeable, or flexible.

I’m literally getting the course for the meetups and possible group trip since I’ve been a full time traveler for over 2 years. But I’m sure I’ll learn some new stuff too. Love your channel 😊. Community is where it’s at!

I’d love to get the Platinum card but there’s one thing stopping me: Amex is so ridiculously woke. I refuse to support any business whose CEO tries to tell me how to live. Same reason I never stay at Marriott hotels. Bill Marriott must be spinning in his grave. Why alienate half your potential customers? Here’s an idea: how about focusing on doing a better job running your business for the benefit of your customers and shareholders instead of wasting time and resources sticking your nose into politics and the culture wars? I have the Chase Sapphire Preferred and plan to upgrade to the Sapphire Reserve as soon as I can qualify for another points bonus. Bottom line: each of us has to decide what our priorities in life are and then live accordingly. Do you value personal benefits or doing the right thing more? God bless!

Hi guys thanks for the video. Will the course be beneficial to non Americans as coming from Australia we don’t get the same benefits from the IHG points.

We found out that there is an issue with a garmin maps device in Thailand, because it is satellite linked. We have months in other countries, but can't take the device because Thailand will confiscate it. Do your research before traveling with equipment. 😊 Oh my gosh, it's great to know that another man gets searched like that at the airport, like my hubby. TSA pre-check helps in US, but not anywhere else.

Airbnb did not refund the hosts for 2020. They gave hosts a partial payment. I lost over 50K in bookings and got $257 from Airbnb.
